SUITE RENOVATION

As an Architectural Designer at Owen Richards Architects, I contributed to the transformation of an existing suite within the Seattle Opera into the new headquarters for Classical KING FM 98.1 radio station. The renovation was designed to meet the station’s needs for acoustically isolated broadcast studios, flexible office workstations, and archival music storage.
I supported the project from start to finish — developing layout concepts, acoustic planning strategies, diagrams, and detailed 3D models and renderings to help clients visualize the space. Working on this fast-tracked timeline strengthened my skills in cross-disciplinary collaboration, clear communication, and responsive design iteration.
The new space has become a dynamic hub for Classical KING FM 98.1, enhancing their operations and solidifying their partnership with the Seattle Opera. It was a rewarding opportunity to apply thoughtful, functional design to a culturally significant project.

RAINIER AVENUE RADIO - COMMUNITY BROADCAST HUB CONCEPT

As part of a collaborative initiative between Rainier Avenue Radio, the Royal Esquire Club, and the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, our team at Owen Richards Architects developed design studies for a future community and broadcast center in Columbia City.
My contributions included floor plans, sectional studies, and renderings that helped stakeholders visualize how the space could support live radio production alongside flexible, education-oriented community programming. This project expanded my understanding of how architecture intersects with community engagement and public programming.
